Network installation project at Central Ohio District
Last week, Blue Technologies Smart Solutions (BTSS) began another large network installation project at a prominent Central Ohio School District. Employing more than 150 faculty and staff and supporting more than 3,300 students, the District has opted for massive improvements in their network infrastructure. Not only will these upgrades improve the day to day speed and functionality of the network, it will also drastically increase the capacity for expansion, better accommodate future technological initiatives, and prepare the District for online testing.
With a mind towards these initiatives, BTSS and the School District are in the midst of deploying a massively improved wireless solution. This controller based, Aruba Solution will provide over one hundred Aruba 105 Access Points across several schools. Because these devices are controller-managed, their configuration, management, and maintenance will be both centralized and efficient. Additionally, the APs allow for data encryption, policy enforcement, as well as both distributed and centralized traffic forwarding. With a strong backbone of HP Proliant DL380p Servers and HP 2920 Procurve POE switches, this large School District will be able to accommodate a great deal more technology, and with a great deal more efficiency, than ever before.
